Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom websites and themes using WordPress. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of WordPress architecture, be comfortable with both frontend and backend development, and be able to convert UI/UX designs into functional, responsive websites.
Responsibilities:
- Setup, manage, and maintain WordPress multisite and multi network installations.
- Develop custom themes and plugins for WordPress, ensuring responsiveness and compatibility across devices.
- Implement front-end and back-end functionality, including custom post types, taxonomies, and API integrations.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize WordPress websites for performance and scalability.
- Maintain code repositories and manage version control using Git.
- Collaborate with design and content teams to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in code structure, development workflow, and security.
- Regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins, while managing risk and ensuring compatibility.
- Implement SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development and web technologies.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in WordPress development, both frontend and backend.
- Expertise in setting up and managing WordPress multisite/multi network installations.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP.
- Strong knowledge of Git for version control and experience with collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with custom theme development and modification of existing themes.
- Familiarity with WordPress REST API and experience with custom API integrations.
- Understanding of MySQL database architecture and query optimization for WordPress.
- Experience in performance optimization, including caching, minification, and other techniques.
- Knowledge of web security best practices for WordPress.
- Familiarity with deployment processes and continuous integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
